The anniversary Life As Surface Noise release this year is a track called A Stone's Thrown Away. Somewhat abstract and experimental in construction, the piece features field recordings made by Skreen at the water's edge of an Eastbourne beach, plus traffic and background noise from Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne. The recordings have been manipulated into a long piece which attempts to recreate the call of the siren and the agonised murmurs of an underwater shipwreck.
